Whether you are planning to host a cosy sit down dinner for 10, a cocktail reception, an apres ski party , a rehearsal dinner, a wedding reception or a corporate event for 250, Monk's Grill will be happy to take care of all your party needs. PARTY PLANNER Thank you for thinking of Monk’s Grill While planning your party there are a number of things to consider. By reviewing the following questions Monk’s managers can help quickly address your needs and make the process easier for you. LOCATION Which room will you use?
Dining Room or ' the lounge ' Will you need the room privately or will you share the room with other guests? Do you prefer the patio if it is available? SIZE How many guests should we expect? Parties over a certain size should consider using the Monk’s Grill dining room privately. Please discuss this option with Beverly Brown our group sales manager. MENU STYLE Are you looking for a plated dinner, a buffet, or reception style cocktail event? BAR There are a number of options for bar billing. A Hosted Bar – the host is paying for everything. A Cash Bar – the guests are responsible for their own bar tab. A Separate Bar – with some hosted products such as wine with dinner, or cocktails upon arrival. WINE The wines for dinner should also be selected in advance. This will help to plan a budget and ensure that we have the product available. Please see our wine list for a complete selection. TABLES & FLOOR PLANS Groups buying out the entire dining room may require special floor plans to accommodate a dance floor, a guest speaker and/or a head table. CONFIRMATIONS & GUARANTEED NUMBERS Group bookings over 20 persons require a deposit to guarantee the space. All groups will need to guarantee their numbers two full working days prior to the event. Tentative holds will not be accepted longer than 48 hours without a deposit, otherwise management reserves the right to release the booking and allocate the space to another client. EXCLUSIVE BOOKINGS & MINIMUM SPENDS Bookings requiring exclusive use of our dining room or lounge will be subject to a minimum spend. A change of date or an increase in numbers may incur additional costs. The quote given will include a minimum expenditure that will compensate the restaurant for loss of revenue. DEPOSITS A deposit is required upon booking, payable by credit card.Deposits for regular group dinners are based upon the number of people and the selected group menu. "Exclusive Use" bookings require a deposit of 50% of the quoted minimum spend upon booking PAYMENT Unless credit arrangements have been established prior to the reservation date, settlement of the balance of the account are due immediately at the conclusion of the event. We accept all major credit cards. CANCELLATION & NON-ARRIVAL Cancellations within 7 days will be charged 50% of the deposit amount. Cancellations within 72 hours will be charged 100% of the deposit amount.
